September 2018 NACE Update from President Rich Sanders Well, Labor Day has come and gone…in Polk County, that means it’s time to start thinking about the sugar beet harvest which includes plowing mud off the roads and getting our plows ready for another winter of fun. We will start stockpiling sand and salt to insure our intersections, hills, and curves stay free from ice and snow.![]() A couple of things you should look forward to - Our NACE Grant will come to conclusion on September 30th, with a final report to follow shortly after. - On December 4th -6th we will again co-host a Rural Road Safety Summit in Savannah, GA. For more information on h ow you can attend and participate, click here. The last bit of exciting news is Kevan filled our open position with Staci Morgan. She came to us via the Regional Airline Association. I am looking forward to working with her, Kevan and the Kansas Delegation to make sure NACE in Wichita is where everyone wants to be in April.
